In the millennial generation where marketing is basically free through social media, is marketing and social media marketing the same? The answer is NO!

 

Social media marketing is targeting publics within of social media. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Myspace are the platforms you use when you are marketing through social media. Social media marketing is most clear, concise and direct. If you are marketing through Twitter you can only use 140 characters to market your message, another way you can market through twitter is through polls. Social media marketing through Instagram would be nice detail pictures to turn strangers into customer. You have to be careful when you market on social media, every marketing objective isn’t meant for every social media platform.

You wouldn’t post multiple pictures on twitter to market and post pictures of texts on Instagram to market right? Social media is the most precise, unique type of way to market. A key to social media marketing is endorser, endorser are very great for a brand. A great example would be Lady Gaga wearing a particular brand of clothing and that brand posting her picture to their page to show how great the brand is.word of mouth. Brands can market using videos, blog posts, and pop-up shops.

This brand will receive a lot of new customers due to Justin Bieber, one of the most famous celebs wearing their brand.

I believe social media marketing is the best marketing for particular industries such as fashion, music artist, entertainers, and even athletes. Social media marketing  gives a unknown brand a voice.
